Principal Engineer – Offshore Structures Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire, UK Contract Type: Permanent We are seeking a skilled Principal Engineer – Offshore Structures to lead an offshore design team and provide expertise in structural analysis. This role offers a blend of technical challenges, leadership opportunities, and a chance to work on cutting-edge energy transition projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead and plan offshore structural design activities. Execute and review structural analysis for offshore substructures and topsides. Develop technical solutions across various design stages (feasibility to detailed design). Mentor and guide junior engineers while managing team deliverables. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Analyze complex engineering problems and recommend solutions. Requirements: Strong expertise in offshore structural analysis and design codes (ISO1900, API RP2A, AISC). Good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office package AUTOCAD and similar. Proficiency with structural software (e.g., SESAM Suite, USFOS, ANSYS, SACS). Experience with FEM modeling, foundation design, and life extension of brownfield structures. Leadership in managing engineering teams and tender processes. Degree in Civil, Structural, Offshore, or Aerospace Engineering.
