The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 Β£ per year.

To work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team to deliver Nationally significant electricity infrastructure projects. The projects will be at different stages of development from feasibility to achieving development consents (Town & Country Planning Act, Electricity Act and other environmental consents), and in some cases supporting our delivery teams through construction.

The following are key activities that would be undertaken:

  • Lead on and coordinate project optioneering and environmental studies to ensure all environmental and consenting risks are understood and incorporated into the development and refinement of project designs.
  • Manage external consultants to deliver proportionate and robust Environmental Impact Assessments and supporting documentation to submit consent applications.
  • Develop, control and build mutually beneficial external stakeholder relationships (consenting bodies, statutory authorities and key consultees).
  • Negotiate challenging consent conditions with statutory authorities and submitting robust supporting information.

The Consultant would ideally have:

  • A working knowledge of the Scottish planning process, relevant consenting regimes and Environmental Impact Assessment legislation.
  • Demonstrable Project Management skills and experience of how to manage the delivery of consenting and environmental compliance for major projects.
