Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with local HSE regulations and project-specific safety standards
- Implement and maintain the Health, Safety & Environmental Management System on site
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and implement preventive and corrective actions
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to HSE requirements
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and produce detailed reports
- Track and report on HSE KPIs to project management
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices at all times
- Support emergency preparedness and response planning
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation and records
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HSE Advisor on construction projects (data centre experience is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of Belgian HSE regulations
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
- Experience with risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems
- Ability to conduct audits and deliver training effectively
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
