An established building services consultancy is seeking an experienced Public Health Design Engineer to join their expanding London team. This role offers the opportunity to lead the design and delivery of innovative public health systems for a range of commercial fit-out, public sector, and mixed-use projects, with some residential exposure.

The position would suit a technically strong and motivated engineer looking to take ownership of projects and contribute to a collaborative, design-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver above-ground public health design solutions, including hot and cold water services, waste, drainage, showers, gyms, and tea points.
  • Work across office fit-outs and commercial developments, with additional experience in residential schemes advantageous.
  • Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions.
  • Review technical documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.
  • Support business development activities - a 3% commission is available on new business generated.
  • Participate in company and individual performance-based bonus schemes.
Key Requirements:
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar.
  • Proven experience in public health design within a consultancy environment.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Experience working on commercial fit-out and mixed-use projects.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and proactive approach to work.
Working Arrangements:

Hybrid working model based in Central London (Moorgate area). Typically 3-4 days per week in the office, with flexibility to adjust as needed.

Package:

£55,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience). Annual performance bonus and 3% business development commission. Flexible hybrid working environment. Career development within a supportive, growing consultancy.
