Principal Civil Engineer / Associate
We're seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer or Associate to lead the delivery of a diverse range of civil engineering projects across the residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with leadership experience to manage projects, develop client relationships and play a key role in growing a successful civil engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of highways, infrastructure and development projects.
Manage projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
Liaise with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders.
Manage project programmes, budgets and resources.
Support business development by building client relationships and contributing to bids and fee proposals.
Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Extensive experience in civil/highway engineering design and project delivery.
Strong knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, NRSWA and highway/drainage adoption processes (S278, S38, S104).
Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
Proficient in Auto CAD, Civil 3D, Causeway Flow and related design software.
Strong commercial awareness, project management and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Chartered status (ICE, CIHT or CIWEM), or working towards chartership, is desirable.
Desirable Experience
Site supervision and contract management.
Financial management of projects.
Bid and fee proposal preparation.
Knowledge of procurement routes and contract types.
