We are seeking an experienced Principal Design Engineer to provide technical leadership on major infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in structural, temporary works, tunnelling, or infrastructure design.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel structures, foundations, retaining walls, and underground structures.
- Experience delivering designs to Eurocodes and UK standards.
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary design teams and design assurance processes.
- Chartered status (ICE or IStructE) preferred.
- Experience on major UK infrastructure programmes desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Lead permanent and temporary works design activities.
- Review and approve technical calculations, drawings, and design deliverables.
- Coordinate with geotechnical, construction, and engineering teams.
- Support bids, technical governance reviews, and client engagement.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practice.
