We're currently looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead HV/MV electrical design projects across sectors including Substations, Renewable Energy (Solar & Wind), and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading electrical design projects from concept through to completion
- Delivering HV/MV design solutions including substations, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems
- Producing technical reports, specifications, and design documentation
- Working closely with clients, utilities, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Mentoring and supporting Graduate and Junior Engineers
- Representing the business in technical and client-facing discussions
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience within electrical design engineering
- Strong HV/MV design experience including substations and grid connections
- Experience with electrical infrastructure design, protection relays, and control systems
- Proficiency in EPLAN and AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of health & safety and quality standards
