A great opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major civil engineering project in Kent. You’ll play a key role in commercial management, cost control, and contract administration, working closely with senior leadership and maintaining a strong on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare commercial reports, valuations, and applications for payment.
  • Produce client cost reports with full contractual compliance.
  • Manage procurement schedules for subcontractors and materials.
  • Administer subcontractor accounts, payments, variations, and final accounts.
  • Lead contract administration, change management, and commercial registers under NEC contracts (Option A experience preferred).
  • Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
  • Track and manage project costs using internal systems.

About You

  • 5+ years’ QS experience, including 2+ years operating at Senior QS level.
  • Proven experience working under NEC contracts, ideally NEC Option A (Priced Contract with Activity Schedule).
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and negotiation ability.
  • Experience on tunnelling and shaft projects would be highly advantageous.
