The Lead Installation Manager shall be responsible for the design and management of the Transportation and Installation (T&I) elements of the inter array cables package for Windanker project.
Project Management
- Development and implementation of a package engineering plan(s) and management of any internal and external services or resources that are required to deliver the tasks identified within the engineering plan.
- Development and implementation of a T&I Management Plan and management of any internal and external services or resources that are required to deliver the activities that are defined within this plan.
- Coordination of all package specific interface tasks required to ensure compliance with the requirements of the project’s Interface Management Plan.
- Responsibility for management of CVA approval process for T&I.
- Responsible for implementing and managing an effective communication protocol, information sharing and document review process between the package management team, the Contractor, any Related Works Contractors, the Marine Warranty Surveyor, the Independent Verification Society and the Site Management teams.
- Responsible to complete or organize, as applicable, the administrative tasks needed by the company and project(s) of assignment, related to the planning and execution of installation works.
- Coordination and preparation of the technical documentation that is required for inclusion within ITT and EPCI documentation package(s).
- Trenching risk assessment.
- Supporting the technical evaluation process including coordination with all reviewers involved in the technical assessment.
- Responsible for the management and completion of the Conceptual Design for T&I, this shall include Cable Route Layout, Cable burial risk assessment, Seabed Management Plan, Installation Analysis and all Interface engineering activities with WTG foundations and OSP.
- Responsible for management and approval of Contractor's installation engineering activities.
- Responsible for defining a work package survey strategy and for managing the completion of all required survey works.
- Responsible for preparation of the T&I elements of any documents that are required to support the discharge of our consents.
- Responsible for ensuring a cable replacement/repair strategy and methodology is developed.
EPCI contract management
- Responsible for supporting the management of EPCI Contractor, this shall include Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental management of Contractor's activities.
- Management of EPCI Contractor's detailed design process for T&I including cable route design, cable burial plan and installation engineering.
- Management of EPCI Contractor's Transportation & Installation works including approval of Contractor's procedures.
- Responsible for the review, approval and management of change of the Contractor's procedures and engineering studies and analysis.
- Responsible for liaison with and management of Marine Warranty Surveyor.
- Responsible for overseeing offshore company representatives.
- Responsible for the management and daily coordination of the offshore works including T&I and cable termination and testing.
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting progress against programme.
- Responsible for providing support to the quality manager to ensure satisfactory close out of NCR's relating to transportation and installation; including but not limited to Lessons Learnt from and to other projects of the business.
- Technical, management and administrative support to R&D initiatives where the company is involved, as well as dissemination of results.
Overall 10 years work experience with minimum 5 years’ experience in subsea inter array cables (preferably offshore wind). Direct experience of EPCI contract procurement with value £50m. Proven track record of safely managing the execution of complex offshore works in hazardous marine environments. Responsible for the daily management of multi-disciplinary T&I engineering team and offshore client representatives.
