We are currently supporting a major engineering and infrastructure programme within a highly regulated environment and are seeking experienced Senior Commercial Managers to join an expanding commercial leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a strategic role on complex, high-value projects within a technically challenging sector, providing long-term contract opportunities and exposure to major infrastructure delivery programmes.
The Role
- Lead the commercial strategy, governance, and performance of major engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Oversee commercial delivery, manage contractual risk, and ensure robust financial control across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial strategy and governance across major infrastructure and engineering projects.
- Provide leadership and direction to commercial and quantity surveying teams.
- Manage contract administration, change control, claims, and commercial risk.
- Oversee project cost reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance.
- Drive commercial best practice, value optimisation, and cost efficiency initiatives.
- Lead negotiations with clients, contractors, and supply chain partners.
- Support project delivery teams in achieving commercial and contractual objectives.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and internal governance procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the programme.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience operating as a Senior Commercial Manager within infrastructure, engineering, energy, defence, or major construction environments.
- Strong background in commercial management, contract administration, and financial control.
- Experience leading commercial teams on complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and other standard forms of contract.
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Experience working within highly regulated or secure project environments.
Important Requirements
- Must be a UK Sole National.
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance.
