6 Month Contract (Renewables) Glasgow or Perth (Hybrid – ~50% office)

I’m currently supporting a leading UK utilities organisation on a Finance Manager contract within their Renewables division, focusing on an operational onshore wind portfolio. This is a high-impact role suited to someone who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end close, including review and approval of journals
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial control compliance
  • Take ownership of year-end and half-year processes, including statutory accounts
  • Lead statutory audits, working closely with external auditors
  • Manage and develop a team of accountants and analysts
  • Support transition of projects into the operational portfolio

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS / FRS101
  • Proven experience delivering statutory accounts and managing audits
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
