ERSG are partnering with a leading global consultancy to find an Electrical Engineer ready to step into a more commercial, strategic role within the energy and infrastructure sector. This is a unique opportunity to take your technical expertise and apply it in a high-impact advisory environment, working with investors, lenders, and asset owners to shape major infrastructure and energy transactions. If you're looking to move away from pure design and into a role where your analysis directly influences investment decisions, this is the perfect next step.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting technical due diligence on major energy and infrastructure transactions
  • Assessing high-voltage electrical systems (33kV-440kV) across a variety of assets
  • Identifying and communicating technical and commercial risks ('red flag' analysis)
  • Reviewing designs, asset condition, and regulatory compliance
  • Producing clear, commercially focused reports for investors and stakeholders
  • Engaging directly with clients, presenting insights in a concise and impactful way

This is where engineering meets finance, strategy, and real-world decision-making.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (Master's or MBA advantageous)
  • Strong experience with HV electrical systems
  • Exposure to energy or infrastructure projects (renewables, utilities, grid, etc.)
  • Ability to translate complex technical detail into commercial insight

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Work on high-profile, global transactions across energy and infrastructure
  • Gain exposure to the investment side of engineering projects
  • Develop a highly sought-after skillset combining technical and commercial expertise
  • Be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary advisory team
  • Clear pathway for career progression within a rapidly growing space

Ideal Background (Not Essential)

  • Technical advisory, consulting, or due diligence experience
  • Familiarity with transaction environments (M&A, financing, asset sales)
  • Knowledge of renewable energy or regulated utility networks
