Procurement Specialist
Contract Position for a global industry leader in the West Midlands Area
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a strategic procurement team within a global engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing and commodity strategies.
- Lead supplier negotiations, contract management and strategic sourcing.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance and procurement risk.
- Drive cost reduction, productivity and supplier capacity initiatives.
- Analyse market trends and identify commercial opportunities.
- Support strategic programmes and product reactivation initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Strong experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, commodity management or a related technical/commercial discipline.
- Strong negotiation, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with complex supplier relationships.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills; SAP experience desirable.
- Ability to understand technical drawings, manufacturing processes and costing.
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.
Role Details
- Location: Outside of Birmingham
- Contract: 6-month rolling contract
- Working Pattern: 2 days per week in the office
