Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage, coordinate, and supervise bridge construction projects (new construction, rehabilitation, and strengthening works).
  • Organize projects from pre-construction planning through final acceptance, including schedule, cost, and quality control.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Prepare and maintain construction schedules, quantity take-offs, and performance records.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational safety, environmental protection, and traffic management requirements.
  • Conduct site meetings with clients, engineering consultancies, and public authorities.
  • Manage contracts and change orders in accordance with VOB/B and VOB/C.
  • Handle project billing and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, qualification as a Construction Technician, or a comparable credential.
  • Several years of professional experience as a Construction Manager, ideally in bridge construction or civil engineering structures.
  • Strong knowledge of steel and concrete construction, as well as relevant standards and regulations (DIN, ZTV-ING).
  • Proficiency in working with bills of quantities, construction scheduling, and cost estimation.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Fluent German language skills (spoken and written); English language skills are an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office and common construction software (e.g., iTWO, MS Project).
