We are working with a Global EPC for large scale BESS projects occurring at the start of the 2026 year around the Manchester Area. We have a requirement for full project site teams ranging from Project Managers, Site Managers, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical supervisors and Project Engineers.
The Project Engineer will play a central role in supporting the successful execution of BESS projects from early construction through commissioning. This position bridges the gap between site operations, engineering design, and project management – ensuring that all technical, quality, and documentation requirements are met throughout the delivery process.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical coordination between design, procurement, and site delivery teams.

Review engineering drawings, specifications, and supplier documentation to ensure constructability and compliance.

Support planning and scheduling activities, tracking progress against key project milestones.

Manage technical documentation, RFIs, and change control processes.

Assist with QA/QC inspections, and commissioning preparation.

Ensure HSE and quality requirements are embedded across all project phases.

Contribute to project reporting, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideal Background:

Degree-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Energy Engineering (or equivalent experience).

2-5 years\’ experience working on renewable energy, BESS, or power infrastructure projects.

Strong understanding of project delivery processes and construction interfaces.

Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to work site-based in the UK
