Overviewersg is searching for a PMO Manager to join a major player in the UK BESS market. Our client is backed by a major Investment Management business with intentions to deliver over 1GW of BESS in the medium-term, whilst seeking to acquire further projects. As PMO Manager, the successful candidate will be managing a small team but constructing the critical frameworks and standards that ensure the efficient delivery of over USD800m of projects. Involvement in these projects are a real opportunity to enhance your credentials in the BESS market. Working closely with key stakeholders from the main investor, there is the expectation that you can demonstrate your capacity to operate lean, and control budgets. The role offers hybrid working, with the expectation of being based in London for three days per week. In addition to a competitive salary, there are benefits including an incentive plan, private healthcare and life assurance.
Responsibilities
- Manage a small PMO team and construct critical frameworks and standards to ensure efficient delivery of projects valued at over USD 800m.
- Collaborate with the main investor and other key stakeholders to operate lean and maintain budget control.
- Develop and implement governance, reporting, and project controls across the portfolio.
- Support delivery across BESS projects and contribute to the scaling of the pipeline toward >1GW of BESS assets.
Qualifications
- Experience in PMO leadership, ideally in energy, infrastructure, or battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Strong program management, governance, and financial controls capabilities.
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and maintain lean operations.
- Hybrid working experience and willingness to be based in London three days per week.
