Due to continued growth, a successful, well-established, and expanding HVAC provider is recruiting a Contracts Manager to support the ongoing development of its Service Department. Our client is open to speaking with established Contracts Managers from the commercial HVAC, FM or mechanical services sector seeking a long-term position within a high-quality, ambitious business or experienced Supervisors looking to move fully off the tools and step into a Contracts Manager role. Key Purpose: As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, leadership, and performance of a team of Engineers. You will ensure all planned and reactive works are delivered safely, compliantly, on time, and within budget, while meeting contractual KPIs, SLAs, and PPM requirements. The role also acts as the primary point of contact for clients, supporting heating, water, and mechanical services across live contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day leadership, management, and performance of Engineers
- Ensure all PPM schedules, reactive works, and SLAs are delivered in line with contract requirements
- Act as the main client contact, handling day-to-day requests, queries, and issue resolution
- Ensure engineers and sub-contractors operate safely and in full compliance with company and statutory H&S requirements
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
- Conduct site surveys and produce accurate quotations for works and small projects
- Support clients with heating, water, and mechanical services upgrades
- Identify and propose technical solutions to improve system efficiency and reduce energy costs
- Work collaboratively with clients to plan and deliver system improvements
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience managing service contracts or mechanical services within FM or building services
- Experience managing engineers and sub-contractors
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and live works simultaneously
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Experience producing RAMS, risk assessments, and technical documentation
- Strong leadership and decision-making capability
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Commercially aware with a focus on cost control and contract performance
