Our client is a well-established UK energy engineering business who specialise in the design, installation and long-term maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Foreman to support and supervise mechanical installation works across a number of commercial and industrial projects.

The successful candidate will oversee site based mechanical installation teams delivering plant room installations, system upgrades and full heating system installations within commercial and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising and coordinating mechanical installation teams on site
  • Overseeing installation and replacement of commercial and industrial heating systems
  • Managing plant room installation and refurbishment works
  • Supervising installation of HVAC plant and associated pipework
  • Working with equipment including boilers, pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels, chillers and associated pipework
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with project specifications, drawings and schedules
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and technical schematics
  • Monitoring site progress and reporting to project managers and engineering teams
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, site procedures and industry standards
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site organisation
  • Coordinating with engineers, project managers and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience working within commercial or industrial mechanical installations
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or foreman role within mechanical or HVAC projects
  • Strong knowledge of plant room equipment and commercial pipework systems
  • Experience installing equipment such as boilers, pumps, pressurisation systems, chillers and HVAC plant
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Good understanding of site health and safety and compliance requirements
  • CSCS/SSSTS/SMSTS qualified
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
