Due to continued growth, a successful, well-established, and expanding HVAC provider is recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer/Project Manager to support ongoing development within its Projects Department. This opportunity would suit either Mechanical Craftsmen or Supervisors looking to transition into project management and who can demonstrate strong labour and people management experience, or experienced Mechanical Project Managers from the commercial HVAC sector seeking a long-term role within a high-quality, blue-chip environment.
The role will involve the organisation and day-to-day delivery of multiple mechanical projects, delivered concurrently across commercial and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Day-to-day management and delivery of multiple mechanical HVAC projects
- Full responsibility for all mechanical works on site
- Ownership of health, safety, quality, and compliance requirements, including RAMS
- Planning and coordination of labour, materials, and plant
- Management and supervision of direct labour and specialist subcontractors
- Material take-offs and procurement coordination
- Identification, pricing, and management of project variations
- Production of costings, valuations, progress reports, and billings
- Conducting regular site visits, inspections, and client meetings
- SSSTS and/or SMSTS certification
- Proven labour and people management experience
- Experience delivering commercial HVAC projects in a project or supervisory capacity
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Competence in material take-offs and cost awareness
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Professional, customer-focused communication style
