An established, multi-disciplinary HVAC contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Gas Engineer to support the growth of its mechanical division in the North West. This is a strategically important appointment offering a clear pathway into a regional leadership role as the business continues to expand its mechanical capability alongside a well-established business.

You will initially operate in a hands-on capacity, delivering commercial gas, heating, and mechanical works. However, this role is designed to evolve into a lead position, taking ownership of the mechanical function in the region.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Service, maintenance, and installation of commercial gas and heating systems
  • Mechanical works across plant rooms, HVAC, and plumbing systems
  • Supporting small works and project delivery
  • Working closely with internal teams to support client requirements
  • Contributing to the development of the mechanical division

As the division grows, your role will naturally expand into:

  • Supervising and mentoring engineers
  • Supporting pricing and quoting of works
  • Managing workload and client relationships
  • Becoming the regional mechanical lead

Essential requirements:

  • Served recognised apprenticeship
  • ACS Commercial Gas qualified
  • Highly skilled in all aspects of servicing and repair work
  • Strong background in commercial heating and mechanical systems
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Able to demonstrate a strong focus on customer care combined with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable working on the tools with a proactive approach
  • Commercially aware with an interest in business growth
  • Ambition to progress into a leadership role
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Willing to work overtime
