Our client is a long-established Waste Management company, and they are looking for an organised and highly detailed Workshop Administrator to support the Workshop Manager in the smooth running of the HGV vehicle workshop and fleet.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Workshop Manager with planning and activities.
- Daily administrative tasks to include record keeping, data entry into the Fleet Management system, booking in MOT and services.
- Dealing with breakdowns to ensure timely resolutions.
- Ensure all defects are rectified and entered on the Fleet Management System.
- Updating tyre information on the Fleet Management System.
- Buying of parts and sourcing new suppliers.
- Update vehicle taxation reminders.
- Deal with vehicle administration.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations in relation to HGV fleet operations.
- Checking for warranty repairs.
- Manage R&M contracts to control costs.
- Collaborate with the transport team in relation to vehicle availability and scheduling.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Candidates should have a strong HGV workshop knowledge and a proven knowledge of DVSA and other legislation standards.
- Understanding fleet compliance to FORS Gold would be an advantage.
- Previous experience in a HGV or commercial workshop is essential.
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills to include Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
