Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee multiple projects across the Dublin and East region. Our client is an award-winning, highly reputable, and well-resourced construction firm specialising in Heritage, Education, and Healthcare sector projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of site-based teams, including both company employees and subcontractors.
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with tender budgets and agreed schedules, while actively addressing any delays.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, keeping variations to a minimum.
  • Ensure the timely and safe completion of multiple concurrent projects within budget.
  • Participate in internal and external progress and review meetings.
  • Coordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist subcontractors, in-house teams, and site construction teams.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with legislation and project schedules, just as with the internal team.
  • Identify on-site changes and communicate them to the engineering, commercial, and support teams within one week of occurrence.
  • Actively manage project delays and implement mitigation plans to minimise their impact.
  • Lead and motivate team members, addressing underperformance in line with company policies.
  • Deliver projects ahead of the agreed schedule whenever possible.
  • Represent the company by supporting, promoting, and implementing all company initiatives.
  • Onboard new employees and subcontractors in compliance with legislative and company standards.
  • Collaborate with the SHEQ department and support any required actions or recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, always ensuring readiness for audits.

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements:

  • Possess a relevant qualification in construction management OR have a minimum of five years’ experience working in construction management.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects to the highest quality with emphasis on safe and efficient construction.
  • Working knowledge of the Irish construction industry, regulations and standards.
  • Effective decision making and strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritise your workload.
  • Proactive and driven approach to work and creating success.
  • Ability to work in a team of diverse individuals to meet common objectives.
  • Good organisation skills: ability to manage multiple tasks and willingness to ask for help when needed.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present findings effectively.
  • To work well within a team environment, with a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with others.
  • IT skills – Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Knowledge of MS Project.
