Class 2 Driver - Vacuum Excavator - Training will be given
Based at Sizewell, IP16 4UR
Salary Day - £25.00 per hour, guaranteed 10 hours per day x 5 or 6 days
With this role you may only have to work 3-4 hours per day on a lot of the days

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our professional team based at Sizewell. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient use of a Vacuum Excavator This Role is a mixture "no day is the same" The role offers an excellent opportunity for drivers with a strong background in commercial driving, delivery experience, and familiarity with Class 2 trucks. Applicants must hold valid HGV Class 1/2 licence and demonstrate a commitment to safety and punctuality. All vehicles are under 5 years old and the latest additions to the fleet are 2026 registered.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 or Class 2 vacuum excavator machine ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any defects or issues promptly.
- Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times, demonstrating excellent organisational skills.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, complying with health and safety standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the Plant team regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered on site.
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver within construction sites
- Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as moving hoses etc
- Excellent organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and adhere to schedules.
- Good communication skills for liaising with dispatch teams and clients professionally
Pay: From £25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 50 hours per week
Many days you will only have to work for a few hours but get paid for 10 hours
