Our client is a Civil Engineering, Utilities and Concrete Frame Provider contractor based in Manchester, focusing on reinforced concrete frames and groundworks across the North West. This is an exciting opportunity for an RC Frame Estimator to be a key part of the commercial team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for reinforced concrete (RC) frame and groundwork packages. You will lead the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission, ensuring all technical and commercial risks are identified and managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Preparation: Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive tenders for RC frame and groundwork projects.
- Technical Analysis: Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and contract documentation to produce accurate take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Supply Chain Management: Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and analyse competitive quotations.
- Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering to enhance tender competitiveness.
