We have a fantastic opportunity for an Ambulance Care Assistant to serve your local community and join the Ambulance Service as part of our ambulance crews based in Burgess Hill.
An Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) is a hugely rewarding role. Each day, you\βll help someone in need, making their lives easier, and gain a real sense of achievement from making a difference.
Your main responsibility will be transporting service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.
This is a full-time role working 4 days out of 7 (10-hour shifts) scheduled between 05:30am and 00:30am. Shifts are on a rota. Please only apply if you can work these hours.

Other duties include:
- Transporting \βend of life\β service users with empathy
- Building rapport with patients and relatives
- Lifting, securing, and assisting patients into and out of the ambulance
- Handover of patients at hospitals or to family at home
Requirements:
- Valid UK manual driving license
- Ability to work flexible shifts between 05:30am and 00:30am, Monday to Sunday
- Effective communication skills, especially in emotional situations
- Physical fitness for patient handling
- Pass an enhanced DBS check (company funded)
