Alongside Science, there is scope for the postholder to also deliver Functional Skills English and/or Maths sessions, depending on experience and college timetabling needs; this is a valuable but not essential part of the role, and we welcome applicants who can offer either or both.

- Assess learners' starting points and track progress against individual learning plans and, where relevant, EHCP outcomes.
- Differentiating teaching materials and approaches to support learners with a wide range of needs, including learning, communication, and behavioural differences.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and progress records in line with College and funding body requirements.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, other subject teachers, and external professionals involved in learners' care and education.
- Uphold the College's safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

- Experience teaching Science to adult learners with SEN, ideally within a college or specialist setting.
