We are currently recruiting for an HLTA. As a higher-level teaching assistant (HLTA) you would be responsible to manage classroom behaviour, whilst ensuring pupils remain on task, completing the work that has been set. This is a long-term role working with one of our partner schools.
Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Newham
Salary Scale: £140 - £160 per day
Contract Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Provide high-level support to teachers, assisting in planning, preparation, and assessment.
- Work with small groups of students, tailoring activities to meet their specific needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the school curriculum.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback.
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Requirements:
- Level 4 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (HLTA qualification) or experience as a HLTA.
- Proven experience as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated teaching team.
