Higher Level Teaching Assistant

HLTA – Secondary – Newham £150 – £160 per day We are currently recruiting for an HLTA. As a higher-level teaching assistant (HLTA) you would be responsible to manage classroom behaviour, whilst ensuring pupils remain on task, completing the work that has been set. This is a long-term role working with one of our partner schools. Higher Level Teaching Assistant – HLTA – Education and Training – Newham Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant ( HLTA ) Location: Newham Salary Scale: £150- £160 per day Contract Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: As a HLTA you will lead lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment. Provide high-level support to teachers, assisting in planning, preparation, and assessment. As a HLTA you will work with small groups of students, tailoring activities to meet their specific needs. Contribute to the development and implementation of the school curriculum. As a HLTA you will collaborate with teachers to assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback. Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Requirements: Level 4 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (HLTA qualification) or experience as a HLTA. Proven experience as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role. Strong leadership and organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
