Associate – IP/IT Life Sciences – Cambridge with hybrid working on offer

A top ranked and award-winning international law firm.

Role

  • Based in the Cambridge office and involves working with clients in a variety of sectors, but with a focus on the life sciences and publishing sectors.
  • Provide business-oriented advice, and act for SMEs, larger PLCs, multi-national enterprises as well as start-ups, research institutes, charities and spin outs.
  • Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, and provide a full range of IP and commercial and regulatory advice to clients based locally, and further afield in the wider UK sector and internationally, including in the US.
  • Engage in business development activities.
  • Excellent training and career development is on offer within a collegiate environment.

You

  • 3+ PQE solicitor.
  • The team sometimes acts as an external resource for overflow of in-house work. In-house experience can therefore be helpful but is not a requirement.
  • Will thrive on close client contact and will relish the exposure to quality client contact right from the start.
  • Excellent academics combined with proven experience in intellectual property and commercial work is required, and an interest in Life Sciences is desirable.
