About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated BIM Engineer to join our growing design team. As a key member of our project design group, you will work collaboratively with Designers on medium to large-scale projects. You will be responsible for creating and developing accurate 3D Revit models of all project elements, transforming them into detailed drawings and technical documentation that meet client and architectural requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, technically sound designs while supporting the continued development of our Design Office. You will be encouraged to expand your skills and experience, with a clear path for professional growth within the organisation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed 3D Revit models of all project elements using existing families and creating new ones as needed.
  • Produce architectural design and fabrication drawing packages for manufacture directly from project models.
  • Generate cut lists, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and schedules using Revit.
  • Manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, providing initial assessments on modularisation opportunities.
  • Prepare and issue drawing submissions for external client approval, ensuring alignment with design intent, tender documentation, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Ensure all project information meets required quality standards, incorporating relevant regulations, customer specifications, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with architects, consultants, and other designers to ensure design integration and consistency.
  • Take responsibility for meeting deadlines and managing workload effectively to align with project programmes.
  • Conduct thorough self-checks of work prior to internal quality assurance review by the Design or Technical Manager.
  • Release material orders and schedules according to the procurement schedule, promptly escalating any potential delays to the Design Manager.
  • Work independently on defined tasks under limited supervision while maintaining accountability for deliverables.
  • Attend on-site design meetings when required, supporting Lead Designers and the wider project team.
  • Develop clear and concise site information packages to support project installation; where required, provide Toolbox Talks to communicate design intent to site teams.
  • Maintain an active interest in industry systems, tools, and innovations, contributing to the continuous improvement of the Design Office.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience working within a construction design office, providing accurate technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, with strong modelling and documentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of BIM standards, workflows, and coordination procedures.
  • Experience producing detailed fabrication and architectural drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality output.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Benefits:

  • Company events
  • Wellness program
  • Company pension
  • On-site parking
