As a Pastoral Leader, you will play a vital role in securing high quality pastoral care, behaviour and wellbeing across the school. Working closely with colleagues and under the direction of senior leaders, you will support a culture of high expectations, ensuring all scholars are safe, supported and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead behaviour, culture and expectations: Ensuring consistently high standards of behaviour, routines and conduct through a visible presence across the academy.
  • Oversee safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care: Working in collaboration with the DSL and wider teams to ensure all students are safe, supported and able to succeed.
  • Drive attendance and student engagement: Monitoring attendance, identifying concerns and implementing effective strategies to secure improvement in line with academy targets.
  • Lead the quality and impact of the tutor programme: Overseeing tutor time to ensure consistent delivery, high expectations and meaningful pastoral provision.
  • Support and challenge staff to maintain high standards: Ensuring consistency in behaviour management, routines and pastoral processes across the key stage.
  • Build strong relationships with families and external partners: Maintaining effective communication with parents, carers and external agencies to support student progress, wellbeing and outcomes.
