Senior Advisor, Capital Allowance specialist – London

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients to optimise tax relief available on capital expenditure incurred on property, infrastructure, software and other fixed assets.
  • Deliver support and projects across all business sectors for the Capital Asset Tax Services team.
  • Work within the General Compliance and Reporting department focusing on London clients.
  • Collaborate with specialist Capital Allowances professionals to combine tax, accounting, construction, property and cost management expertise.

Qualifications

  • Experience or qualifications in quantity surveying, valuations or construction technology are welcomed, but not required. Candidates are expected to work toward a relevant professional qualification if they do not already possess one, such as surveying, tax, or accounting.
  • Strong technical skills and a willingness to develop further.
  • Sound working knowledge of MS Excel; additional or advanced technology skills are welcomed.
  • Good project‑management skills, capable of planning and prioritising work while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to identify risk areas, conduct effective reviews, and know when to refer issues upwards.
  • Client‑focused and commercially aware.
  • Creative and pragmatic problem‑solving, with a proactive mindset to suggest ideas.
  • Outgoing with strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to deliver quality output.
  • Excellent communication abilities in written and oral contexts.
