Job Responsibilities

  • Work effectively as a member of a project team, demonstrating strong communication skills and collaborating with team members of diverse skill sets.
  • Write and review compelling technical project reports highlighting key scientific and technical factors to support R&D tax claims.
  • Lead interactions with clients\’ senior clinical and technical staff to understand projects and identify how they meet R&D guidelines.
  • Perform data analysis and calculations to quantify project expenditure.
  • Apply advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills to project execution and delivery.
  • Build and maintain client relationships to ensure high levels of service.
  • Deliver high-quality advice and solutions to major clients, managing risks and reputation.
  • Adapt and expand existing knowledge across different sectors, demonstrating a strong interest in clinical, science, technology, and engineering problems.
  • Leverage industry experience to address challenges faced by professionals in scientific or clinical sectors and develop solutions.
  • Quickly adapt to and learn about various industry sectors, including automotive, aerospace, civil, defence, food & drink, electronics, and more, with strong business acumen.
  • Interact effectively with technical professionals, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and concise communication.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and ensure first-time accuracy.
  • Develop an interest in project and company finances, including tax applications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Science, Life Sciences, or other clinical specialisms.
  • At least 2 years of industry experience.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a collaborative management approach.
  • Flexibility to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous R&D tax experience is advantageous but not required.

Additional Qualities

  • Team player with the ability to integrate quickly into new teams.
  • Outgoing personality with good relationship skills and the ability to produce quality output.
