Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide world‑class levels of client service.
  • Assist in winning work by proactively managing existing clients and contributing to new client acquisition.
  • Manage the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a commercial/deal‑focused approach.
  • Contribute to extracting maximum value for both EY and clients from delivered tax services while managing risk appropriately.
  • Remain client‑focused and strategically and commercially aware.
  • Excellent communicator in a range of situations, both written and orally.
  • Build networks and relationships internally and externally for the team to leverage.
  • Develop junior staff through effective supervision, coaching and mentoring.
  • Play a significant role in managing the team both strategically and operationally, including junior staff development and assignments.
  • Serve as an experienced UK tax practitioner with strong review skills and expertise in restructuring tax.

Qualifications

  • ACA/ATT/CTA or international equivalent / Law qualification.
  • Degree qualified.
  • Project management skills: ability to plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, and monitor own budget and time.
  • Experience in UK tax compliance.
  • Additional desirable experience includes project management and UK tax compliance expertise.

The team focuses on buy and sell‑side tax due diligence, tax structuring, fund flow, tax modelling, and SPA review for high‑profile deals.
