Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, winning work proactively and contributing to winning new clients and growing existing ones.
  • Manage delivery of technically complex and demanding advisory projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical/commercial focus.
  • Take overall responsibility for quality of client service.
  • Build networks and relationships internally and externally, working with other EY UK parts and global teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Build and develop client engagement teams, supervising, coaching and mentoring junior staff.
  • Involve significantly in team management, including strategy and operations, and managing junior staff development and assignments.
  • Completely client-focused and commercially aware.
  • Commit to building strong client relationships and delivering quality outputs.
  • Exhibit negotiation skills and ability to handle complexity and nuance.
  • Have business development skills to identify and convert opportunities and grow market.
  • Hold strong business acumen and ability to manage engagement financial results.
  • Manage time effectively, staying calm under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate excellently across a range of situations.
  • Be an enthusiastic team player capable of creating, developing and sustaining high‑performing teams.
  • Be change‑oriented and innovative with a flexible approach and adopting new technologies.

Qualifications

  • Strong UK tax technical skills and understanding, with experience in cross‑border contexts such as CFCs, anti‑hybrid rules, loan relationships, intellectual property and Pillar 2.
  • Preferred qualifications: ATT, ACA, CA, or CTA.
  • Experience managing a team and/or coaching and developing junior team members.
