Overview

We are looking to hire a seasoned payments solution architect into our platforms team.

Our platforms team helps clients deliver technology-enabled transformation, through the delivery and customization of third-party platforms, or as part of teams designing and delivering bespoke solutions.

As a solution architect, you will leverage your skills as part of the delivery of scalable, resilient, end-to-end client solutions — ensuring that designs are robust and in line with the required architectural standards set by and with our clients.

This will usually be in the context of a technology modernisation journey.

You would also be involved in the sale of new engagements and play a key role in developing our junior people and in the communities across our major technology and business domains.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver scalable, resilient, end-to-end client solutions that meet architectural standards and client requirements, often within technology modernisation journeys.
  • Contribute to the sale of new engagements by providing credible content and supporting proposal and engagement work.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members and participate in communities of interest across technology and business domains.
  • Partner with business lines and technology teams to align solution options with business goals and use case knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience of solution architecture, either as a consultant or within an architecture function of a leading organisation, including developing new solutions with clients in response to evolving technology landscapes.
  • Proven experience of creating technical solution architectures and the ability to layer business domain and use case knowledge into design and assessment of options.
  • A deep understanding of modern and emerging technology and the gravitas to engage senior technology leaders at clients.
  • Proven experience of delivering business and technology transformation, including providing clear guidance and documentation to enable development and engineering teams.
  • Extensive experience of payments domains in banking, domestic/international processing, retail, commercial and wholesale.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environments affecting technology organisations.
  • Curiosity about other domains such as AI, Gen AI, and Distributed Ledger Technology.
  • Prior consulting experience.
  • What we look for
  • Strong interpersonal and consulting skills, including the ability to influence senior client stakeholders.
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to deliver concise documentation.
