Overview

We are looking to recruit a senior advisor into our transfer pricing team, who will have the opportunity to work with a globally integrated network of specialists from economics, tax authority, legal and commercial backgrounds. The work is technically challenging, creative and requires you to work closely with our clients' businesses. Clients are increasingly focused on the risk of double taxation and having appropriate inter‑company arrangements in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the commercial operations of banks, asset managers and insurance businesses, working with the team and our clients.
  • Collaborate with transfer pricing and tax teams in other countries, performing analyses that impact multiple locations.
  • Read and develop an understanding of transfer pricing technical literature, including the 2010 OECD Report on Attribution of Profits to Permanent Establishments and the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines, and keep up‑to‑date with evolving legislation such as BEPS 2.0.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the basis of pricing inter‑company transactions and pricing within different parts of the same enterprise under the authorised OECD approach.
  • Produce structured and logical technical content, even when a prior template or reference content is limited or not available.
  • Analyze comparable pricing scenarios using financial information and public data.
  • Assist with client‑specific business development content.
  • Demonstrate commercial and strategic awareness.
  • Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Maintain an enthusiastic and flexible attitude towards work.
  • Collaborate as a strong and motivated team player.
  • Coach and develop junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a tax practitioner with strong reviewing skills.
  • Holding one of the following qualifications: ATT, ACA, CA, CTA (or equivalent breadth of knowledge, e.g., a law qualification).
  • An undergraduate/postgraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working on transfer pricing advisory projects or with financial services clients.
