The successful candidate will work directly, and in partnership, with our clients to understand their business needs, lead the design and delivery of transformation in health and care services. We are looking in particular for individuals who have consulted (or worked) within provider organisations or integrated care systems, and who have a passion and focus on:

Working collaboratively within multi‑practice EY teams, this role will be critical to designing and delivering solution sets and helping bring the best of EY capabilities to the health sector. As a growing health practice acting as an advocate for EY’s values, we promote our high‑quality brand and showcase our capability expertise across the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple consulting projects within the healthcare sector, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with client objectives.
- Work directly with clients and senior leaders to understand their business needs and design/deliver transformational solution sets, particularly focused on the productivity, cost‑out agenda and digitally enabled transformation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor providing expert guidance on healthcare transformation, productivity and the cost‑out agenda.
- Mentor junior team members, supporting their professional development and the growth of our UK health community, ensuring those aligned to the health practice thrive.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the healthcare landscape.
- Drive business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and delivering compelling presentations to prospective clients and acting as a Bid Manager where required.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate insights and solutions that enhance client value and drive sustainable outcomes.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes, industry developments, and emerging technologies to inform strategic recommendations and consulting practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
- Experienced healthcare professional with consulting experience within a professional services firm OR experienced professional services consultant with experience of delivering healthcare engagements with providers or systems.
- In‑depth knowledge of the UK healthcare system landscapes including at provider, regional and national level.
- Experience acting as a Bid Manager for pursuits and an Engagement Manager for large, complex engagements.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large‑scale projects and leading teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- Strong understanding of the UK healthcare system, including policy, regulatory, and operational aspects.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Experience in business development and a track record of successfully securing new consulting engagements.
- Skilled Engagement Manager able to effectively manage commercials and engagement risks.
- Strong understanding of client needs and how to translate them into solution sets.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
