We are looking for individuals with a track record of developing and delivering new business opportunities within a consulting environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the development and delivery of new business opportunities within our consulting environment.
- Build and maintain close client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for client project sponsors.
- Drive business development activities, including developing long-term trusted advisor relationships and leading RFP responses.
- Lead complex engagements from strategy to execution, delivering high quality actuarial insights and solutions.
- Plan and deliver actuarial projects while managing commercial aspects such as contracts, billing, budgets and quality risk.
- Develop intellectual property and support sales-oriented client interaction.
- Build and lead high-performing teams, coaching and mentoring staff to develop their capabilities.
- Contribute to the strategy and key initiatives of the actuarial team and help shape team operations.
- Support and lead team operations to ensure team development; feedback, strategy, counselling, finance, and recruitment.
- Play an active role in elevating our Lloyd's and London Market brand with clients through thought leadership and external events.
Qualifications
- Significant actuarial experience in Lloyd's and London Market (re)insurance, gained through direct industry or a top-tier consultancy.
- Strong academic record with a relevant degree and a professional actuarial qualification such as IFoA.
- Deep expertise in at least three of the following areas: reserve reviews under different accounting bases; actuarial analysis for audits; reserving process improvement; pricing model development; Solvency II technical provisions; business planning linking reserving, pricing, claims and underwriting; Solvency II internal model review.
- Demonstrated leadership with high-performing team building and talent nurturing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to liaise with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to deliver multiple engagements, exceed client expectations and manage commercial aspects.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders and managing large cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex problems into actionable solutions.
- Awareness of emerging technology trends in the actuarial space.
