Responsibilities
- Implement cost transformation, procurement strategies, and optimisation.
- Drive transaction value creation, including carve-outs and integrations.
- Create private equity procurement value pre- and post-deal.
- Separate contracts.
- Work closely with executive leadership across industries to identify opportunities for improvement, including quick wins.
- Support key decision-makers in developing and implementing strategic transformations.
- Play a supporting role in new business development efforts by qualifying targets, supporting pitches and pursuits, and preparing go-to-market collateral.
- Manage project teams, drive progress, develop project plans, conduct cost/benefit analysis, and contribute to engagement management responsibilities including project commercials and risk management.
- Review/analyse financial information and scenario modelling to support decision making and execution.
- Produce clear, concise, client-ready reports that communicate complex findings and recommendations.
- Assist in aspects of business origination, including pitches and presentations.
- Develop technical and personal skills through learning, coaching and experiences.
- Engage and manage stakeholders by tailoring communication to influence, align, and drive outcomes.
- Act as a role model and support the development and coaching of junior team members.
- Lead on the ground with clients, working as a credible and visible member of joint EY-client teams, possibly leading a workstream.
Qualifications
- Professional services / strategy consulting experience, either wholly within consulting or through a combination of consulting and industry roles.
- Track record of involvement in delivering cross-sector cost transformation programmes and third-party spend initiatives.
- Experience in opportunity assessments and cost reduction delivery programmes.
- Strong analytical skills linking operational analysis to financial statements.
- Experience across multiple sectors, especially Consumer & Retail, Industrials, Energy, Life Sciences, and Technology, Media and Telecom.
- Expertise within multiple categories of spend, both indirects and directs.
- Experience building strong working relationships with senior clients and influencing key decision-makers.
- Experience supporting sales and business development processes for professional services projects in a large-scale consulting environment.
- Track record of delivering cost transformation with clear, quantified impact, including responsibility for managing project workstreams, teams and vendors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience producing and reviewing high-calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership.
