As a manager, you will be a key point of contact for clients, build long-lasting relationships, and lead the delivery of high-impact employment tax solutions across a range of sectors. You will also play a pivotal role in developing junior talent and supporting strategic business development initiatives. We are looking for a collaborative and driven professional with strong technical employment tax knowledge and experience. You will have a client-centric mindset, the ability to navigate complex challenges, and a passion for mentoring others.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and serve as a primary contact for clients, delivering high-impact employment tax solutions across sectors.
- Develop junior talent and support strategic business development initiatives.
- Identify business development opportunities and convert them into engagements.
- Manage projects with a practical, hands-on delivery approach.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal form; collaborate with team members to foster a positive team culture.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in employment tax, gained in consultancy, legal practice, or a large global corporate.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence at all levels.
- Technical expertise in core employment tax areas, including:
- Expenses & Benefits (e.g. PSAs, P11Ds)
- Employment Status (e.g. IR35, self-employed)
- Payroll (PAYE, RTI, apprenticeship levy, audits)
- Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
- Termination Payments
- Pensions
- National Minimum Wage (NMW)
- HMRC audits, disclosures, and interactions
- Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) and Corporate Criminal Offence (CCO) compliance
- A basic understanding of equity-based reward plans
