As an EY Director, you'll lead project engagements, working directly with clients and EY Partners. You will guide your team through all parts of a project—from developing opportunities and identifying value for clients, to designing and delivering solutions. You will be part of the EPM Technology leadership team and play a key role across people leadership.
Responsibilities
- Client Leadership & Delivery Oversight: Act as senior delivery lead across complex SAC programmes focused on financial planning, ensuring successful outcomes across scope, quality, timeline, and budget. Provide oversight and challenge on solution architecture, ensuring alignment with client enterprise data strategies. Manage senior client stakeholders (CFO, CIO, Head of Data/FP&A), acting as a trusted advisor. Resolve critical delivery risks and escalations across workstreams. Ensure integration across finance, data, and technology domains (e.g. SAC Planning, BDC, Datasphere/Databricks/Snowflake).
- Commercial Leadership: Own and contribute to sales pipelines, leading pursuits and proposals for EPM. Shape client propositions around FP&A Transformation. Lead bid teams, including solutioning, pricing, and commercial structuring. Drive revenue growth and margin performance across engagements. Identify and originate new opportunities within existing client accounts.
- Offering & Asset Development: Define and evolve the EPM offering, including go-to-market propositions. Lead development of reusable assets. Drive innovation in areas such as AI-enabled planning and predictive analytics.
- Practice & Capability Leadership: Build and develop the SAC capability, including mentoring junior colleagues. Support recruitment and workforce planning aligned to growth strategy. Establish delivery standards, methods, and best practices across the practice. Foster a high-performance culture focused on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Thought Leadership & Market Presence: Represent the firm externally in client meetings, industry forums, and with alliance partners. Contribute to thought leadership. Position the practice as a leader in SAC and SAP data & analytics solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong experience delivering SAP Analytics Cloud solutions, focusing on planning use cases (multiple full project lifecycles).
- Deep understanding of business finance processes and how SAC can be leveraged to support these processes.
- Ability to create complex system architecture.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation programmes.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, including sales, pricing, and margin management.
- Strong stakeholder management at executive level.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across functional and technical domains.
- Ideally, you will have industry expertise in energy, defence, retail, or life sciences.
- Experience with other EPM tools (SAP BPC, Tagetik, Lumel, Pigment) and consolidation tools (SAP Group Reporting, Tagetik).
- SAP analytics experience (SAP BW, Datasphere, BDC).
