Strategic & Client Leadership
Lead strategic relationships with Health Board‑level and senior executives across providers, ICs, regional and national health organisations. Act as a trusted adviser on the pursuit, design, and end‑to‑end delivery of large scale, high‑impact digital health projects and programmes. Oversee multiple complex technology programmes using AI and data, ensuring delivery excellence, commercial performance, risk management, and high‑impact outcomes.
Practice Leadership & Sector Growth
Drive market strategy, proposition development, and thought leadership for the health practice embedding digital and technology into everything we do. Build and manage relationships with EY’s digital and technology alliance partners and support collaborative go‑to‑market strategies. Identify and lead business development pursuits that drive growth in the digital health practice, translating existing relationships and networks into key strategic drivers for growth. Act as a visible ambassador for EY’s values and quality standards within the sector. Provide technical leadership to on‑, near‑ and offshore technical teams, vendors and external partners to ensure successful and compliant delivery of client engagements.
Business Development & Revenue Growth
Own and grow a significant revenue portfolio, with accountability for pipeline generation, conversion, and multi‑year client relationships. Lead development of major proposals and bids, including acting as bid lead for high‑value pursuits.
People Leadership & Culture
Leadership responsibility to support the management, mentorship, professional development and growth of junior colleagues, developing key capabilities and digital healthcare domain expertise in line with the healthcare technology strategy. Proven ability to lead and manage large‑scale, multi‑year, high‑impact digital health programmes.
Qualifications
Deep experience in technical roles at a consulting, professional services company, system integrator or customer environment in enterprise. Proven client experience in leading delivery of projects utilising both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Experience designing and implementing IT roadmaps and blueprints, creating value through service architecture, developing cloud and digital strategies, and specialising in two or more of the core IT strategy disciplines: transformation delivery, IT strategy & enablement, IT service management, IT operating model, service architecture, IT sourcing. Significant experience of digital health and ICT‑enabled transformation. Strong understanding of the UK (in particular NHS) healthcare landscape, including systems, policies and operational challenges. Proven business development and client relationship management skills. Technical expertise in healthcare standards and electronic health record systems. Experience leading and delivering complex digital healthcare engagements aligned to Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and NHS Digital frameworks and standards (e.g. NHS Service Standards, DTAC, Clinical Safety Standards and Accessibility Standards). Significant experience developing and leading teams and engagements across data management, data integration and data quality tools, and proven expertise in applying data governance best practices. Demonstrated experience developing and delivering digital healthcare strategies and transformation programmes for complex or multinational organisations across healthcare or allied public‑sector organisations. Able to lead the interaction with client organisations to write business or investment cases; experience with the healthcare/public‑sector business‑case process is desirable, including SOC, OBC and FBC lifecycle and alignment to Green Book guidance. Knowledge of modern data architectures, cloud platforms and digital technologies.
