We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Strategy & Transaction (SaT) and International Transactions & Tax Services (ITTS) team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the SaT/ITTS CDD Manager in delivering operations and compliance from a KYC/CDD perspective for the UK&I SaT/ITTS sub-service lines.
Responsibilities include ensuring timely and thorough due diligence, identifying and closing gaps, maintaining quality standards, and reporting to senior stakeholders. This role involves serving as the primary subject matter expert on AML due diligence for the business. The successful candidate will provide compliant and pragmatic CDD advice to Engagement Partners and their teams, assisting them in navigating CDD requirements. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with others to establish and maintain high standards of work within a team environment. This position reports to the SaT/ITTS Manager, Central CDD Leadership, Financial Crime, based in Newcastle.
- Act as a relationship manager between the CDD team and the business, providing support to client-facing teams in navigating our CDD requirements.
- Be responsible for Enate SLA management and mailbox support.
- Perform Due Diligence checks on actual and potential clients in accordance with EY policy and procedure.
- Encourage client-facing staff and CDD analysts to engage and work collaboratively together.
- Step up manager for the SaT/ITTS CDD Manager where required.
- Other tasks, as directed by the SaT/ITTS Team manager and Central CDD Team Senior Management including Scorecard items.
You will have excellent communication skills and present confidently to stakeholders up to and including at partner level. Demonstrate leadership skills, be able to motivate team members and create a positive work environment. Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively. Have excellent organisational skills and demonstrate effective time management.
