Our purpose in Audit is to support the long‑term sustainability of businesses, to bring trust and confidence to society and the financial markets. Working in teams we analyse data, consider sustainability metrics and test business controls to determine whether financial statements are accurate. Technology, including AI is transforming the way that we deliver our audits as it’s embedded in everything that we do. It allows us to focus on using our key skills on analysis, exercising professional judgement and providing powerful insights to EY teams and clients.
What you can expect:
This is a three-year paid graduate programme in which you’ll learn to help companies and governments publish accurate financial accounts others can rely on – all while developing your skills through hands‑on work and study.
By the end of the programme, you’ll gain a chartered accountancy qualification with ICAS or ICAEW and be ready to embark on a fast‑moving, high‑potential career.
As an Audit Graduate, you will:
- Make an impact from your very first day with us as you start to develop the skills you need to grow in your career
- Get to know our clients’ businesses by learning how they work as you’re assigned a portfolio of clients
- Test business controls to make sure they work as they should
- Carry out independent assessments of financial information to make sure financial statements are true and fair
- Work from client site, in your local office, and from home – the mode will vary by client and depend on team requirements
You’ll be in a supportive team and will receive regular coaching and mentoring. You’ll be learning on‑the‑job and will be given access to regular training opportunities. Plus your experience doesn’t stop once you’ve completed the programme – we’ll continue to give you opportunities to progress within EY. Before you know it, you’ll be coaching other graduates and apprentices, getting a team together, spotting strategic opportunities and building the foundations for a career in business.
