UKI Assurance – FAAS – Finance Optimisation – Manager – London The opportunity Are you an Accountant or Finance professional that enjoys solving complex problems using innovative and new solutions? Our clients are going through significant change as a result of new compliance requirements, transformation and business needs. Our Finance Optimisation team within our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice supports CFO and finance functions in navigating through and solving complex Accounting, Finance & Reporting challenges through better use of policies, processes, data and technology—enabling Finance functions to deliver value to the business. As a Manager, you will be offering valuable insight and advice to clients in supporting them in making strategic and operational decisions about their businesses. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end delivery of projects (physical and virtual), assessing engagement risks and opportunities, driving the right outcomes for our clients Develop exceptional reports & presentations (PowerPoint, Word, etc.) for project deliverables, capturing problem statements and solutions/recommendations for our clients Manage internal financial, quality, and risk management on client projects Manage your own and FAAS team\’s development of functional and technical skills by establishing a culture of high performance and inclusive behaviors Manage and lead business development activities for new and existing clients, developing the delivery of high-quality proposals Build strong internal and external networks to foster collaboration for EY clients Create an environment that encourages and drives innovation based on experience with the client, market, service line, functional group, and EY Minimum qualifications An accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent Financial Reporting and/or an Assurance/audit background Extensive experience working in assurance, consulting, or transformational roles within Big 4, Consulting firms, and/or industry Experience in one or more of the following areas: Accounting, Finance and Reporting related processes gained through Big 4, Consulting, or industry environment (e.g., Record-to-Report, Financial & Non-financial Reporting, Financial Close, Consolidation and Reporting) Experience in Business and Finance Transformation & Change programmes; managing senior stakeholders across Finance and the business, identifying improvement/optimisation opportunities, and enabling and influencing client decision-making Process, Risks, and Controls design, implementation, and testing experience over Financial, Operational, and Reporting processes using leading practice frameworks (e.g., COSO, SOx) Data analytics, including utilization of technology to automate extraction, preparation, and presentation of information to senior stakeholders, including use of data warehousing, ETL, and visualization solutions Finance systems application design, build, and implementation (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SAC, CCH Tagetik, BlackLine) Other relevant experience such as: Accounting and Regulatory change (e.g., Corporate Reform, SOx) Finance Data and architecture including general ledger, subledgers, master data structures, data objects Wider finance related processes including Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Financial Planning & Analysis Non-financial reporting, including ESG reporting and relevant regulatory frameworks Internal finance function experience in Financial Reporting roles What we look for We\’re interested in leaders with a genuine creative vision and the confidence to make it happen.
