Key responsibilities:
- Support senior members of the team in building and maintaining tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service.
- Support senior members of the team in building relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and managing expectations.
- Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients.
- Support the senior members of the team in managing the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business driven approach taken.
- Responsible for day‑to‑day delivery of client liaison.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Relevant Tax experience within VAT.
- Strong Tax technical skills and keen to develop further.
- Ability to build strong client relationships.
- Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral.
- Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards.
- Client focused and commercially aware.
- Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
- UK VAT specialist experience from the profession or in‑house team.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- ATT / ACA / CA / Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training course / Tax specialist qualification / or breadth of knowledge equivalent to a Tax specialist qualification. Formal qualifications are not mandatory, so please reach out if you have relevant experience.
