As a Senior Manager within our Technology Risk team with key focus on payment assurance, you will help our clients identify and manage their technology risks whilst simultaneously gaining skills to develop a career in a fast‐growing professional services organisation.
Working with some of the world's most prestigious Financial Services (FS) organisations you will be an integral part of our Technology Risk team, part of Assurance Advisory within EY UK.

As a Technology Risk Senior Manager you will be an influential member of our Technology Risk team, and you will have the opportunity to work on a range of IT Assurance and Advisory projects. These include IT Payments Internal Audit, IT components of Regulatory Reviews and other assurance activities with clear focus on payments domain, Cyber assurance, Emerging Technology risk including AI, Trust in Robotics Process Automation and other controls related work within FS.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Establishing, maintaining, and strengthening relationships both internally and in the market.
- Being seen as a trusted advisor to your clients across various sectors (e.g. Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance and Wealth and Asset Management).
- Communicating complex messages and implementing difficult decisions while building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust.
- Adapting to diverse cultural and personal styles to work effectively with various differences, concerns, and motivations.
- Demonstrating an awareness of group dynamics to promote an inclusive approach.
- Managing multiple client teams and engagement types.
Skills and attributes for success
- Understanding the IT landscape of our clients with key focus on payment domain and being able to assure and advise on the associated risks.
- Coordinating, planning and delivering client engagements to identify risks, test controls and provide an opinion on the security of the clients' IT environment.
- Business development including client relationship management, proposition development and leading proposals.
- Excellent project management skills and experience in managing engagement economics.
- Delivering an exceptional client experience across all engagements.
- Using extensive knowledge of the client's business/industry to identify technological developments and evaluate the risks and impacts on the client's business.
- Driving industry research and client thought leadership.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Demonstrable, extensive professional experience in managing and delivering audits, attestations and risk assessments within payments domain on FS clients.
- Extensive experience in business development and solution creation.
- Proven experience in managing, delivering and owning the client relationship.
- Experience in conducting payment attestations, SWIFT Customer Security Programme (CSP) reviews and Second Payment Services Directive (PSD2) audits.
- Good technical understanding of ISAE 3000, and IT audit methodologies.
