EY is seeking a Senior Manager for its Global Grants Credits & Incentives team in central London. The role involves working with high-profile clients across multiple sectors, managing R&D claim preparation and compliance, and contributing to business development.

The opportunity:

  • As a Senior Manager you will lead the preparation of R&D claims for clients worldwide, coordinate tax authority enquiries, and manage delivery of tax projects both onsite and remotely.
  • You will also support business development and exposure to cash grants and patent box applications.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead project teams, communicating and collaborating with team members from diverse skill sets to deliver client-facing engagements.
  • Lead the efficient and successful delivery of R&D tax services across the globe.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, taking a leading role in interactions with senior stakeholders.
  • Build relationships both within EY and externally, identifying opportunities, managing stakeholder expectations, and liaising with client‐facing teams.
  • Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing our existing client base and participating in business development activities.
  • Lead the management and successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, business‐driven approach.

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Minimum 5 years as an R&D tax practitioner with experience leading and project‐managing the preparation of claims in multiple countries.
  • Clear, demonstrable experience coordinating responses to and closure of tax authority enquiries.
  • Experience leading teams and coordinating delivery of services both in‐office and remotely.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across borders and manage client and EY relationships in other countries.
