We are expanding our Financial Services Internal Audit & Controls practice and seek professionals with a strong background in the sector. This role offers personal growth, wider business knowledge, and the chance to build internal and external relationships across disciplines and borders.
Candidates should have experience working on internal audit, risk, or controls projects as an internal auditor/advisor at a professional service firm or within an inâhouse Internal Audit function. Experience in Wealth or Asset Management is preferred.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Managing and participating in teams responsible for building client relationships and ensuring the successful execution of projects under the guidance of Senior Managers, Directors and Partners.
- Planning and delivering internal audit and controls engagements that meet client needs and expectations.
- Managing dayâtoâday client relationships and expectations, delivering value and providing insights to improve their business.
- Ensuring client deliverables meet internal Service Quality Standards and are ready for Partner review.
- Maintaining active communication with Partners/Directors and clients to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction.
- Understanding our service offerings and identifying opportunities to better serve clients.
- Assisting Partners/Directors with generating new business, building client networks, and relationships.
- Contributing to thoughtâleadership articles published internally and externally.
- Participating in people initiatives, including recruitment, retention and training.
- Supporting Partners/Directors in developing client proposals and engagement contracts.
- Overseeing and coaching junior colleagues.
To qualify for this role you must have some or all of the following:
- Strong academic record, ideally 2.1âclassified degree or equivalent; professional qualification advantageous.
- 5â6 years of experience delivering controls, risk, regulatory or internal audit reviews in the Wealth and/or Asset Management sectors.
- Good understanding of the sector and key functions within an investment company, including: Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office.
- Solid knowledge of regulation and compliance hot topics in Investments.
- Experience performing reviews against regulatory requirements and expectations.
- Proficiency with standard IT platforms and software packages such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook.
- Effective communication and outwardâfacing client management skills.
- Ability to support, coach and mentor junior team members.
- Commercial savvy with the ability to engage collaboratively on future market trends.
- Problemâsolving mindset, tailoring experience to develop and implement solutions.
